Nastya’s Story
Until the age of one year old, Nastya grew and developed like an ordinary child. At the age of 14 months she began to lose acquired skills, stopped getting up and gesturing. Nastya tired easily. The doctors did not understand what was wrong with her, they said that everything would be fine. Only at the age of one and a half years did we learn the diagnosis – GM1 gangliosidosis type 2 late infantile. Our dear daughter still knows how to sit, crawl, occasionally get up at the support, play with toys, smile and laugh. She is a cheerful and affectionate girl. Now, in August 2020, she is a year and 7 months old. We really need help. We hope that a cure will be coming soon.
