Cure GM1 Foundation does not typically provide refunds on donations. Refunds are granted only in exceptional circumstances and at Cure GM1’s discretion, such as donations made in error or for the wrong amount. Donations to Cure GM1 are non-refundable after fourteen days. Proof of donation is required to request refunds.

When donating through other platforms like GoFundMe and PayPal, we are not the payment processor. Donors who wish to request a refund for a donation made through a third-party platform should contact the platform directly.

There may be tax implications for the charity and donor as a result of refunds. Donors who request refunds may not be eligible for tax deductions on their refunded donations. Donation receipts that were issued prior to any refunds should not be used to obtain a tax benefit.

For more information or to request a refund contact us at info@curegm1.org. You must provide evidence of your donation and it must be verified by the foundation. Cure GM1 reserves the right to refuse refunds with lack of verification or proof of the donation explicitly to Cure GM1.

In the event of fraudulent charges, we recommend that you immediately contact your credit card company to request a refund and to request a new credit card.

Scientific research and drug development projects are very costly and the funding required for some projects may require years of fundraising. Biotech companies and physicians control and manage the clinical trials. Donations and fundraising never secure spots in clinical trials or access to treatments. Cure GM1 itself does not run the clinical trials and is not a medical center. Similarly, Cure GM1 does not offer treatments as a biotech company sells an approved drug. Donations are given to advance advocacy, awareness, drug development, research and to cover some overhead costs. Therefore, there is no implied benefit that donations are an exchange for medicine or personal treatment.
