This is the story of Asia, a little princess born on December 6, 2020.
Asia was born in perfect health after a peaceful pregnancy. Her first months of life flowed serenely. Asia reached normal stages like all her other peers.
She is a very cheerful and curious little girl. Her smiles and laughter fill our days with joy. At eleven months of age, the first signs that something was wrong arrived. From there we progressed to a cursed date, March 18, 2022 when she was diagnosed with GM1 type 2.
Her regression began, and day after day we saw our little girl fade. Although with difficulty, she still manages to give us smiles and laughter.
Today Asia is 2 years and 5 months old. The disease continues to leave its damage. We have learned new ways of communicating with her and created such a special, deep, and unique bond that nothing and no one can ever break.
