The Law Family announces with the sweetest sorrow, the passing of their beloved daughter, Violet Aurora Sison Law (June 11, 2019 – November 11, 2023).
Born with the neurologic condition GM1 Gangliosidosis, Violet spurred a movement in her community and her parents that raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for research, brought much needed awareness to the GM1 community, transformed the careers of his physician parents, and led to the California statewide declaration of GM1 Gangliosidosis Day on May 21. She was also a courageous participant in a clinical trial that the family truly believes will change the lives of GM1 kids the world over. Violet’s short and beautiful life was full of laughter, smiles, swimming adventures, Disneyland trips, music festivals, friends, family, and fulfilling her destiny that was written in the Stars.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to the CureGM1 Foundation, where her father, David, serves- and will continue to serve- as a board member.
